Author Visit Options
Below is a list of the typical programs Lindsay offers. These are available both in-person and virtually. Please download Lindsay’s Author Visit Information Packet for more on pricing and program flexibility.
Impossible Things
(Grades 3-8)
45–60 minutes. An interactive assembly introducing All the Impossible Things. Students explore mind-blowing science and history facts, and meet real-life kids whose dreams changed the world. (Large groups)
Writing Workshop:
Good Bones
(Grades 4-8)
30–45 minutes. Students learn the essential ingredients for a compelling character: Want, Misbelief, Choice, and Consequence. Includes handouts, discussion, and freewriting. (Max group: 40 students)
Meet the Author
(Grades 2-8)
30–45 minutes. Lindsay shares her journey from book-making in first grade all the way to published author. Includes a behind-the-scenes look at drafting, revising, and copyedits. (Large groups)
Moon Shot
(Grades 3-8)
45–60 minutes. An interactive assembly focused on Farther Than the Moon that incorporates disability inclusion, space trivia, and the power of perseverance. (Large groups)
Writing Workshop:
Writing Buddies
(Grades 6-8)
60–90 minutes. Students learn how to give and receive constructive feedback and become strong critique partners. Works best with already-written student material, but not required. (Max group: 20 students)
Book Club Visit
(all ages)
30 minutes. FREE virtual Q&A visit for classrooms or groups that have read All the Impossible Things or Farther Than the Moon. (Max group: 1-2 classes)
